More than 50 years ago EXEDY founder Kazuma Adachi decided to devote himself to Japan's fledgling automobile industry and began earnestly working on developing a better clutch. Eventually his efforts bore fruit in the form of clutch discs which would prevent the transfer of noise and vibration from drivetrain equipment.

Those clutch discs came to be used by the world's most prominent automakers, establishing the foundation of the present company.

Today's automotive society is rapidly being transformed. New automobiles feature technologies emphasizing priorities such as easier operation, greater safety and environmental friendliness. There has also been a shift in emphasis from simply "driving for transportation" to "driving for pleasure". EXEDY's goal is to develop new and better technologies to help protect the environment and make life more comfortable and convenient

The D&E buildings of our parent company in Japan are equipped with the latest test equipment for evaluating drive mechanisms and an advanced new NV tuning service car has been introduced. Here, engineers extensively test and evaluate the performance of each product. This is also where we develop products and technologies based on totally new concepts.
